Like the flower that inspired our name, The Modern Rose™ continues to bloom, blossom, and evolve. Every location, operator, team member, and guest adds something new to its story while the heart of the brand remains the same: thoughtful hospitality, memorable food and drinks, a little unexpected beauty, and spaces designed to bring people together.
We are not defined by one culture, one family, or one chapter. We are simply The Modern Rose™ — shaped by where we have been, inspired by the people who become part of our story, and always growing into what comes next.
The Modern Rose™ began in 2017 with a simple idea: create a café that felt like more than a place to eat or drink. In 2019, the Dominguez family took the reins and began the next chapter of the brand, growing The Modern Rose™ across multiple South Florida locations and helping shape the distinctive experience it is known for today.
Over the years, the brand has continued to evolve through new locations, new ideas, and new generations of operators. Today, our Delray Beach and St. Augustine cafés are led by two South African families who bring their own hospitality, perspective, and personality to The Modern Rose™ while carrying forward the spirit that has defined it from the beginning.
That evolution is part of our story. The Modern Rose™ has never been about one family, one background, or one moment in time. It is a growing collection of people, places, traditions, and experiences — all brought together by a shared belief that food and drink are better when they create connection.
